Knight of Swords

The Spoiled kid

Knight of SwordsWe don’t make an effort. We are used to others doing our work for us and being told what and how to do things. Although we know exactly what needs to be done we do nothing.

Correction: We need to start executing our own ideas. Only once we do so we will become successful.

The Knight of Coins indicates that we are waiting for someone or something to enter our lives and change them. We are passive because we are used to things happening by themselves and therefore think that the solution is “out there”. In practice we do have good ideas and the ability to put them into action. All we have to do is think, plan and execute.

The solution will come when we switch into an active state in which we find a solution, work hard and fight for our goal. Only then will the Knight turn into an Ace of swords, and we will be able to realize our dreams and reach our goal.

Areas of particular relevance: Arguments, stubbornness.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships We are easy to get along with, others find us interesting and never boring We are waiting for the other side to act, we do not try hard enough
Career We are accepting authority and can perform well in our work – if we only want to We do not initiate, we look for shortcuts so we won’t work too hard, without supervision we tend to slack off

Knight of Cups

The Daydreamer

Knight of CupsWe are waiting for our fantasy to come true. Surprisingly, it might actually happen but precisely when it does we will withdraw ourselves from the process.

Correction: We need to be ready for the option that our dream might come true and give it a fair chance to materialize. Once we do, we will see it is right for us.

The Knight of Coins indicates that we are too passive regarding the subject at hand and are waiting for something to happen. We are waiting for the knight in the shining armor, the savior –the one who will overcome all the obstacles and create the big change in our lives.

Surprisingly, the card indicates that something will indeed happen to mitigate our difficulties. But we will not be ready for it to happen and when the help does arrive we will tend to dismiss and even resist it. All we have to do is continue believing and allow the process to happen – at the end of which the Knight will turn into an Ace (of cups).

Areas of particular relevance: Relationships, falling in love, fantasy.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships An opportunity will present itself, the card bears direct correlation to relationships We are passive, do not react correctly and find it hard to show emotions
Career We have good luck and strong intuition We lack motivation, do not focus on the goal, we are passive and work too hard

Knight of pentacles

The Indecisive

Knight of pentaclesAlthough we are ready to do so, we still hesitate and do not advance to the next level. We are looking for confirmation from our surroundings -a confirmation that will not come. Consequently we will make no progress on the matter at hand.

Correction: although we are still not sure we are on the right track we have to continue acting and moving forward in our chosen path. Once we do so we will realize it was the right thing to do.

The Knight of Coins indicates that we must be so sure of our actions that we will not move forward before getting approval from our immediate surroundings. But the “go ahead” signal will never come, forcing us to move forward on our own.

We all wait for the right time and the right circumstances. We all say “when we get a raise…” or “at the end of the year…” But the time for us to act is now! Although we are still not convinced that we are doing the right thing regarding the topic at hand, the card indicates that this is exactly what we should do. When we finally act the Knight will turn into Ace of pentacles and we will understand it was indeed the right action to take.

Areas of particular relevance: Commerce, trade, craftsmanship.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships We do not give up, stay in a relationship and fight despite the difficulties We are waiting for approval, hesitate, do not initiate
Career We are good employees, have high work standards but only invest the bare minimum We lack motivation, do not move things forward

Knight of Wands

The Indifferent

Knight of WandsWe are waiting for something to turn us on, to get excited about. We need a spark. But nothing will turn us on, the excitement will not come.

Correction: we need to mature and understand that life is not a collection of thrills. The satisfaction we are seeking will eventually come but it will materialize gradually and over time while we live our life to the fullest.

The Knight of Wands indicates that we are waiting for something or someone to come and excite us, fire up our imagination and spirit us away.

But…it will not happen! We need to stop looking for that special person who will swipe us off our feet, or for the perfect idea that will set us on fire. It will simply not happen within the scope of this card. Eventually, we might be turned on but this will not happen suddenly out of impulse and desire. Rather, it will come gradually while we advance slowly and persistently.

Therefore, it is our job to initiate and act. We have to make sure that we do not rule out opportunities that cross our path and give second chances. The excitement will build gradually and when we finally get excited the Knight will become an Ace (of wands).

Areas of particular relevance: Dangers, impulsiveness.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships N/A We rule out things too quick, we do not persevere and do not get excited
Career N/A We tend to slack out, be superficial, we do not persist, we take unnecessary risks
