Page of Wands

The Constant Student

Page of WandsWe are motivated by a never-ending quest for new challenges, excitements and experiences. We aspire to understand the world and expand our horizons without the binds of practical considerations .We need freedom and space.

Correction: we need to find excitement and freedom within the boundaries of everyday life.

The Page of Swords represents a state of mind in which we need freedom, open spaces, new experiences and constant learning. In the defined period we need to express that part of us which is looking for change, new experiences and the broadening of our horizons.

At the same time the card indicates that we need to be wary of our tendency to seek freedom and new experiences at any price. We are so afraid of becoming too attached that we might let go of a relationship, a job, or anything else that might tie us down to our life –as positive as it might be.

We need to be aware of this tendency and understand that it might get us stuck -stopping progress in many areas of our life. Therefore, it is better if we create that which is different and new within the existing boundaries of life, e.g. together with our spouse instead of trying to find a new one.

Areas of particular relevance: Higher education, freedom, traveling abroad, gambling, luck.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships New relationships start easily, we like to try new things We consider a steady relationship an obstacle to our freedom and would not commit, we might come across as stacked-up
Career We are educated, have a solid academic background and can impress potential employers –but we usually do not want to! We are afraid to commit to our job as it might hinder our freedom, it is hard for us to move from theory to practice

Queen of Wands

The Leader

Queen of WandsWe are motivated by ego, self fulfillment and a strong urge to manage and improve our immediate surroundings -mainly family and friends. We want to be in the center of things, to be in control, and enjoy life together with our loved ones.

Correction: let go of our ego and think more of others.

The Queen of Wands represents a state of mind in which we want to take things into our own hands so we can diligently and actively improve all areas of our lives. If we indeed so act we will create change that will affect not only our own life but also the lives of those who surround us.

This is a card of management which calls upon us to bring to the fore the leader in us, to manage and change. At the same time it also calls upon us to lighten up and look for the enjoyment in life. The card suggests that we do not need to plan too far in advance, but rather flow with life’s events. We should definitely not be guided by our ego. The card warns us that if we do not oblige we might lose the calmness, generosity, and love which are inherent to us.

Areas of particular relevance: Management, appearance before an audience, off-springs, recreation, enjoyment of life

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships We are charismatic and know how to enjoy life, it is easy for others to fall for us We tend to have a strong ego and express too much of it, we are too focused on ourselves
Career We know how to manage, take initiative and act to change what needs fixing. We tend to get into ego-based power struggle and be self-centered

Ace of Wands

Suddenly, but as a result of an on-going process, we realize what we want, crave for it and draw it into our lives

Ace of WandsThe Ace of Wands indicates that suddenly -but usually following a personal process we have completed, we realize what we want in life and know how to achieve it. We then bring ourselves to the state of mind in which we are open to receive and enjoy the desired success.

The process that had started with the change in our will, continued with our openness to accept new beginnings, discoveries and successes, and culminated in the actual attraction of whatever we want into our lives. If by chance we did not attract the desired outcome it was probably because we created it ourselves. The card shows that we have the internal inspiration and general ability to create whatever we need in our lives.

The Ace of Wands confirms that we can fulfill our personal potential and achieve what we want without compromise. We are focused, powerful and can fully bring into fruition our desire. We do not need guidance or assistance but instead simply have to follow our intuition to be successful in our endeavors.

Areas of particular relevance: Creation and creativity, sexuality, anger, egocentric focus, birth, a one-time non-repeating event.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships New beginnings, sexuality and sexual attraction, courtship and determination which will lead to success, renewal of past relationship
Career Winning entrepreneurship, successful recruitment, new business ventures, willingness to take calculated risks,  achievement of goals and milestones

King of Wands

The entrepreneur

King of WandsWe are motivated by a strong need to express ourselves. We are impulsive and do as we wish regardless of the impact on our immediate surroundings. We can become very excited by a new venture or a new beginning but tend to lose interest once things move into a steady-state mode.

Correction: We need to learn to think more about others.

The king of Wands represents a state of mind in which we want to create and innovate, engage in new ventures, and actively promote a particular area of our lives. In the defined period we are supposed to experience a surge of energy, vitality, and a strong will to succeed in our undertaking, while enthralling others – making them share and support our goals and enthusiasm.

But, at the same time we must also consider the possibility that this sudden surge of energy and enthusiasm might make us egocentric – so while focusing on our defined target we see little else. To counter this, we must plan ahead, be less impulsive and more considerate toward others.  In addition, we need to be aware of the fact that after the initial surge of enthusiasm we tend to lose interest, slow down, and lose track of our target.

If we manage to overcome these challenges we can achieve our goals while not alienating the special people in our lives.

Areas of particular relevance: Entrepreneurship, new beginnings, new ventures, sexuality.

  Supportive Obtrusive
Relationships Charismatic, enthralling Impulsive, not paying attention, quickly losing interest
Career Having high aspirations, strong wish to act and succeed Rush, not thinking thoroughly, taking unnecessary risks
